What is Chiropractic?
Chiropractic has been practiced in America for over 115 years. While chiropractic started in America, it is now recognized and practiced across the world.
The doctor of chiropractic (D.C.) or chiropractor is a member of the health care community that specializes in the spine, muscles, nerves and skeletal systems. The chiropractor seeks to relieve pain, restore function and resolve injury by manipulation of the spine (and other joints), use of physical therapy modalities, exercise, massage, dry needle technique and other procedures or tests as necessary. Chiropractors often coordinate evaluation or treatment with medical doctors or therapists for the benefit of the patient.
Chiropractors are particularly skillful in treating whiplash injury, sciatica, pinched nerve conditions, posture problems, sports injuries, low back pain, neck pain, headaches, degenerative disc disease, herniated disks and shoulder pain!
James A. Thatcher, a chiropractor in Colorado Springs, has practiced full time since 1992 with a practice emphasis in treating joint, muscle and nerve conditions.
